Plot Overview

His two daughters, Martine and Louise, turn out to be emotionally scarred, addicted to beauty, self obsessed, and left battling it out in a sadistic power play of seduction, jealousy, and betrayal.

Challenging the sisters are a nasty housekeeper and a young man romantically involved with both siblings, which adds further character conflict. No single character can be deemed innocent, as the entire story features lust, greed, and control—all of them add to form an elaborate web and all use sex as a weapon to assert control.

While the combination of soft focus, eroticism, and suggests of treachery create an atmosphere where the lines of anticipating and frightening in a blend together, leads us to an earthquake of feelings, stimulating yet discomforting.
