💭 Insights From Me
The Kissing Booth 2 is rife with conflicting feelings as romances blossom and dances are performed, just like the previous movie. The film focuses on teenage feelings of insecurities, changes within life, and the struggles that come with long distance relationships, while still leaning heavily on romantic comedy stereotypes. However, the chemistry between King and Zakhar promises to be a good time for many fans.
While the subplot of the dance competition is somewhat dull, it does allow for some high energy in moments, particularly in the case of Marco. In this sequel, school romance enthusiasts will find exactly what they want: light entertainment that includes emotional moments.
‘The Kissing Booth 2′ emerged as an international sensation in the younger demographic, just like other Netflix shows within the teen rom-com bracket, such as ‘To All the Boys I Ever Loved.’ The film tackles themes such as trust, inter-personal communication, and high school moving on anxiety.
